Burnie's Big Cook Up
Our Burnie team has served up something truly heartwarming, creating over 200 delicious lasagnes as part of our Big Cook Up initiative with Loaves and Fishes Tasmania.
In celebration of National Lasagne Day, our dedicated Burnie crew rolled up their sleeves and got cooking, turning a simple pasta dish into a powerful act of community care.
This generous effort supports the incredible work of Loaves and Fishes Tasmania, a social enterprise that rescues surplus food and transforms it into nutritious meals for Tasmanians doing it tough. With over 250 community partners across the state, they deliver fresh produce, ready-to-eat meals, school breakfast supplies, and emergency food hampers to those who need it most.
A huge thank you to the small but mighty team behind the cook up: Trevor Stones, Tom Glover, Glenn Coghlan, Daryl Odgers, and Jamie Bell. Your hard work and community spirit are what make initiatives like this possible.
