Our Allansford biogas-to-energy project has been recognised on the national stage, with SDA and our partner, Optimal Group, winning the 2026 Outstanding Industrial Bioenergy Project award at the Australasian Renewable Heat Awards. The annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation in renewable heat and bioenergy projects across Australia and New Zealand. 

Our innovative system captures biogas generated on-site and converts it into renewable electricity and heat using advanced microturbine technology. It is expected to remove up to 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year, equivalent to taking 3,000 cars off the road, while supplying up to 25% of the site's electricity needs during peak production.
