A brighter space in Burnie

Families spending time in hospital often face difficult and stressful moments. That's why we're proud to support a refurbishment project that has created a brighter, more welcoming space for children and families at Burnie's North West Regional Hospital.

We helped fund improvements to the family room in the children's ward, known as the Wombat Ward. The refurbishment included new furniture, a Mario-themed mural by a local artist, entertainment equipment, iPads, a gaming console, noise-cancelling headphones, games, books and puzzles.

The result is a fresh, family-friendly space where children and their loved ones can take a break and enjoy a sense of normality during their hospital stay.

The project was funded through a 50/50 partnership between Saputo and Rocky Cape Charity Ride, a not-for-profit organisation that runs off-road quad bike events to raise funds for local community causes.

Some of our team recently attended the official opening, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Burnie's Mayor, Teeny Brumby, and State MP, Gavin Pearce.

We're proud to support initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the communities that support us every day. This project reflects Saputo's ongoing commitment to investing locally and helping create positive, lasting outcomes where we live and work.
