SAPUTO’S LEGACY PROGRAM SUPPORTS LOCAL FOOTBALL CLUB

April 28 2022

As part of its commitment to support its communities, Saputo Dairy Australia (SDA) has generously donated $10,000 in funding support to the Meeniyan Dumbalk United Football Netball Club (MDUFNC). Putting these funds to good use, the Club was pleased to install new goal posts, padding and netting at the Meeniyan Recreation Reserve. The updated facility is officially open for community use.

The MDUFNC, on behalf of all Reserve users, submitted the application through Saputo’s Legacy Program that supports local community projects encouraging healthy lifestyle choices. Members of the MDUFNC, SDA and other funding partners officially launched the facility today.

Speaking at the launch, Jason Harris, President of the MDUFNC said he was grateful for SDA’s support with funding of the new goal posts, padding and netting, which will further enhance the Recreation Reserves facilities and benefit the Club, the League and the community.

Jason Kelly, Leongatha Site Manager for SDA, said “We are proud to support our local community through our Legacy Program, which invests in projects that can help our communities to lead more active and healthy lifestyles.”

“The Meeniyan Dumbalk United Football Netball Club is small country club, just a short drive from our Leongatha manufacturing facility and in a key milk supply area. We are pleased to support this project as it aligns with our ongoing promise to never stop building a future we can be proud of.

“We hope our contribution to the Reserve’s refurbishment will benefit many of our employees, suppliers, their families and all local community members,” he said.
